Hy-Vee participating in world map program Hy-Vee Food Store of Vermillion is participating in the Haskins World Map Program.
The purpose of the program is to provide elementary school geography students with a current world map for use as a permanent reference.
The maps are updated annually and are designed to meet the specific needs of the students. Accurate geographical content is assured by Ray Oldakowski, PhD professor Jacksonville University, Department of Geography, Jacksonville, FL, and with input from elementary school teachers throughout the country.
The map is also supported with a student oriented geographical web site at www.haskinsmap.com.
Hy-Vee Food Store will provide the maps to all incoming sixth-grade students attending public, private and Catholic schools in their area.
