Melstad, Carlson pitch in tournament Howard Melstad and Loren Carlson participated in the State Horseshoe Tournament at Belle Fourche on Sept. 4-5.
Melstad garnered second place in the elder men's A singles class after playing Dave Zilverberg in a tie-breaker game. Melstad and Carlson took third place in the Class A doubles tournament.
