Shrine to Music Museum announces '98-'99 season A limited number of subscriptions are now available for the 1998-99 Sunday-afternoon concert series at America's Shrine to Music Museum on the campus of The University of South Dakota.
A subscription, which guarantees admittance to all five concerts, is $75.
Celebrating the Museum's 25th anniversary, this year's series features five internationally known ensembles, three from Europe:
Oct. 4 — Mark Kroll (piano) and The Parlor Philharmonic from Boston play transcriptions of Haydn's Symphony No. 96 and Beethoven's Symphony No. 1.
Oct. 25 — REBEL from New York City presents Playing with Fire: Virtuosic Violin Music of the 17th and 18th Century.
Dec. 13 — The Kuijken, Legene, Bailey Trio from Belgium plays Virtuoso Music of the Late Broque.
Feb. 28 — Die Eipeldauer from Vienna plays Viennese dance music, followed by wine and a goulash dinner.
March 21 — Alhambra from Amsterdam presents treasures of Judeo-Spanish music from the Balkans, Greece, and Turkey.
