W.H. Over Museum receives IMLS funds The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) has announced that $200,419 in awards have been granted to South Dakota museums to promote leadership, foster innovation and encourage a lifetime of learning.
These awards provide critical support for core museum operations, help museums care for collections and strengthen professional standards and practices within museums of all sizes and disciplines.
The W. H. Over Museum in Vermillion is among 10 South Dakota museums to receive IMLS awards. The Vermillion museum received a MAP II award, which offers technical assistance for museum operations, care of collections and museum's public dimension.
