Daschle rep to visit with students

Daschle rep to visit with students A staff member from Sen. Tom Daschle's Sioux Falls Senate office will meet with University of South Dakota students, faculty and administration on Oct. 7.

Gina Pederson, Outreach Coordinator for Sen. Daschle, will be at the Student Association Office in the Coyote Student Center on the USD campus from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to meet with constituents.

Daschle said this outreach effort is designed to make it easier for people living in smaller, less populated communities to contact him.

"We realize that because of the distance, school or work commitments, many people are unable to visit our office in Sioux Falls," he said. "This is an extension of my longtime practice of visiting each of the 66 counties in the state each year."

Pederson will be available for people who have a problem, question or opinion they want to discuss. Daschle urged USD students and staff to take advantage of this opportunity to address any concerns or to get help for a problem.
