USD ensembles plan 'Musical Holiday' concert The University of South Dakota Chamber Singers, USD Brass Choir, USD Chamber Orchestra, conducted by professors Larry Torkelson, Rolf Olson and John Thomson, will present a special "Musical Holiday" concert on Friday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. in Slagle Hall Auditorium on the USD campus. This special holiday concert performance is free and open to the public.
The three ensembles will perform a wide variety of holiday music selections by well known composers including Mozart, Vivaldi, Praetorius, Bach and Rachmaninoff. The program will also include several special musical arrangements by the 20th century composers Tull, Luboff and Leo Nestor.
The concert will be recorded for statewide broadcast on South Dakota Public Television in December.
