Area state legislators among FU honorees Two West River legislators were honored at the annual convention of the S.D. Farmers Union in Rapid City on Dec. 12.
State Representatives Dean Schrempp of Lantry and Jerry Apa of Lead were recognized for their efforts to repeal the controversial state tax on intrastate trucking services.
Twenty-four other legislators were also recognized for their consistent support of Farmers Union views during the 73rd Legislative Session.
