Coyotes on All-NCC team

Coyotes on All-NCC team The University of South Dakota, which finished the 1998 football season with a 3-8 record, landed one player on the All-North Central Conference team in senior running back Phillip Meehan, who was selected to the utility team for the second straight year.

Senior cornerback Andre Fields was picked to the second-team All-NCC defensive team. Honorable mention All-NCC honors went to: senior linebacker Matt Chatham, senior nose guard Zach Harris, sophomore kicker Adam Hicks, senior linebacker Nathan Lake, Meehan, junior tight end Eric Porisch, junior offensive guard Troy Shively, and senior cornerback Philip Wilson.

Chatham was named to the GTE Academic District Seven All-America team and he was named to NCC Academic team for the third time.

Honorable mention academic NCC honors went to: senior rushman Derek Borchers, sophomore offensive tackle Mitch Hauschildt, sophomore rushman Scott Larson, Meehan and Porisch.
