Tanagers defeat Harrisburg 66-55 by David Lias The Vermillion Tanagers overcame a 26 point performance by Harrisburg's Chris Stoebner on their way to a 66-55 victory in the season opener for both teams Dec. 11.
Doug Hanson scored 22 points to lead Vermillion. Nick Hovden netted 12 points. Beau Blouin pulled down seven rebounds.
Brett Kieffer netted 10 points for Harrisburg. Stoebner also had six rebounds and five assists.
Vermillion won both prelims, taking the JV game 46-37 and the freshman game 60-21.
