USD rolls past Doane, Montana St. Billings; improves to 8-1 South Dakota opens the 1999 North Central Conference season Saturday and Sunday against Augustana and South Dakota State in the DakotaDome. The Coyotes enter the NCC campaign with an 8-1 record after a pair of home wins last week.
The Coyotes, who have won six in a row, posted an impressive 103-76 win over Montana State-Billings Saturday. USD shot 56.2 percent from the field and landed six players in double scoring figures. Jason Barrow, who was seven-for-seven from the field, paced USD with 20 points.
South Dakota came into the Montana State-Billings game after a 90-72 win over Doane last Monday. Doane opened strong and shot 64.0 percent in the first half. The Tigers led for most of the first half with the biggest margin being 33-24 with 6:42 showing.
