Freshman Tanagers Lose The VHS freshmen Tanagers lost an upset bid against Lennox 54-49 in boys basketball Jan. 4 at Lennox.
The Tanagers had trailed by six in the second quarter.
"Despite the loss, we played our best game of the year against a talented and tall Lennox squad," said Vermillion Coach Devin Schwiesow.
Vermillion jumped ahead 21-12 after the first quarter, but was outscored 16-6 in the second period and 13-8 in the third to trail 41-35 going into the final period.
Vermillion dropped its first game of the season and had a season record of 3-1 following the loss.
