Row crop clinic planned The annual Clay County Row Crop Clinic has been scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 13 at the American Legion Club in Wakonda. The meeting will start at 9:45 a.m. and conclude by 3:30 p.m.
Starting off the morning session will be Mike Catangui, SDSU Extension entomologist, discussing insect management and new control products for 1999. At 11 a.m., Alan May, SDSU grain marketing specialist, is scheduled to talk about the grain marketing outlook for the coming year.
Leon Wrage, SDSU Extension weed specialist, will present the afternoon program starting at 1:15 p.m. Topics for that discussion will include potential weed problems, weed reactions and new herbicides.
All area producers are invited to attend this important planning session. With the current crop production situation, early planning should be a high priority.
The reverse schedule for this clinic is being held at the Farmer Coop Elevator in Beresford, also on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
