A light, misty rain that fell the night before froze as the temperature dropped, making travel treacherous in some areas. It appears that Mother Nature may smile on the Vermillion area by this weekend, however. Warmer temperatures are forecast, perhaps warm enough to rid streets and sidewalks of the ice.
