Ag scholarships available; application deadline April 15 Agriculture students will be eligible for scholarships available under a new program jointly sponsored by the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture and Monsanto Company.
The first scholarships will be awarded this spring for use during the fall 1999 semester.
Fifty Commitment to Agriculture Scholarships, each worth $2,500, will be awarded to students from families actively engaged in farming. Applicants must be entering their first year of college in the fall of 1999 and plan to study agriculture.
Application materials are available from state and county Farm Bureaus and at agricultural chemical retailer locations. The application deadline is April 15.

"The Commitment to Agriculture Scholarships will help students of farm families continue the agricultural legacy of their parents."
