In the second period, Cory Novak scored 10 points of the team's 12 and controlled the offensive board.
In the third period, Doug Hanson carried the scoring load with two 3 pointers to bring a total of 13 points in the third quarter.

VHS improved its record to 6-6, while Douglas dropped to 9-7.
The Tanagers hit 20 of 41 field goal attempts, while Douglas was 23 of 42 from the field.
