USD women defeat Morningside Trailing 58-57 with three minutes remaining in the game, the South Dakota women's basketball team rallied and posted its second North Central Conference win of the season with a 68-62 victory over Morningside last Saturday in the DakotaDome.
USD, which improved to 6-17 overall and 2-12 in the NCC, took charge during the final minutes by outscoring Morningside, 11-4 for the win. With 39 seconds left, Amy Heismeyer converted two free throws for a six-point margin at 64-58 and the Coyotes were on their way.
