Art on display at restaurant Pacific Reflections, a retrospective art exhibit by Jerry Buum, is being co-sponsored by Olde Towne Bistro in downtown Vermillion. It will be on display at the restaurant until April 15.
Buum and his family of nine lived in the rain forest of Molakai, HI for 11 years. From there, he sketched and painted the island, its legends, leper colony and sovereignty movement.
His works are on permanent exhibition at Waikiki's DAMIEN museum, Maui County Library system, Queens palace of Tonga, the Molakai School system, private collections and businesses worldwide.
He is a native of Pickstown, attended three South Dakota universities, and is listed in Biography of Native American Painters. The artist and his family reside in Olivet.
