Artist to visit Over Museum Amelia Campbell, a young artist from Mitchell, will talk about her art that is now on exhibit in Sletwood Hall of the W.H. Over Museum on Sunday, March 21 at 2 p.m.
A senior in high school, Campbell has been interested in art since she was a small child. Her current area of expression is using acrylic paint on canvas, although she has tried a number of other media.
Campbell is enrolled in the Calvert School which she has attended since fifth grade. An exceptional student, she has excelled in poetry, philosophy and other conceptionally based studies.
At the age of 16, Campbell was granted a one-person exhibit in the Sioux Falls Civic Art Center and the Mitchell Oscar Howe Art Center. She has also exhibited in other private galleries.
The public is invited to attend Campbell's gallery talk at the W.H. Over Museum. Admission is free, but donations are wlecome. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Museum.
