Dakotaland Child Care Conference set for March 27 The Dakotaland Child Care Conference will be held at the Kelly Inn, Yankton on Saturday, March 27 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Cooperative Extension Services of Yankton, Turner, Hutchinson, Clay and Bon Homme counties.
The keynote address, "Healthy Indoor Air for America's Homes," will be presented by Bill Campbell, SDSU Extension safety specialist at 8:30 a.m. It will be followed by four concurrent sessions throughout the day. In each session participants can pick one of four topic sessions to attend.
Topics will be behavior, character counts, food safety, communicable diseases, indoor air quality, storytelling discipline, learning centers, music and children and food attitudes.
This event is held annually to assist child care providers obtain inservice training. The registration cost is $25. Registration includes lunch and the program. Because of facility size, the conference is limited to 175 participants. People planning to attend may register by calling their Extension office.
