Following in his father's footsteps Ian Osborn, 3-year-old son of Todd and Lisa Osborn of Vermillion Ian Osborn, 3-year-old son of Todd and Lisa Osborn of Vermillion, caught on to the basic techniques of cross-country skiing so quickly that he didn't have much trouble following his dad during Monday's snowstorm, which dropped about six inches of precipitation on the Vermillion area. Monday afternoon turned out to be a perfect time for Todd to give his son a lesson in the sport, thanks in part to the level, thick layer of snow on Vermillion's streets and sidewalks. Lisa chose to remain inside, but opened the front door of the Osborn home to shout words of encouragement to the two skiers.
