Hybertson named employee of month A positive attitude, the ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities, and attention to detail have earned Tammy Hybertson of Centerville the February Career Service Employee of the Month Award at The University of South Dakota.
Hybertson, a senior secretary for the USD Alumni Association since 1995, was honored during a ceremony at the Alumni/Foundation Center. USD Associate Vice President Roger L. Kozak presented Hybertson with a plaque and a check.
"I enjoy working with the staff at the Alumni/Foundation Center, and especially Nancy McCahren. She motivates me to do my best," said Hybertson. "My job is a blast. I get to communicate with alumni around the world by e-mail and I especially look forward to Dakota Days. I finally get to meet many alumni whom I've helped over the phone with lodging information, and in many cases, information about other alumni they are planning to meet here in Vermillion."
USD Director of Alumni Nancy McCahren nominated Hybertson based on her positive attitude and productivity. "Tammy is a very capable young woman, and a quick learner. She works quickly, with a minimum of supervision. What's special about Tammy is that she does the work of two or three people, and always with a smile on her face and in her voice," said McCahren.
