USD 3rd at NCAA Division II swim meet The University of South Dakota registered its highest team finish in school history when the Coyote men placed third at the NCAA Division II national swimming and diving championships that concluded March 13 in Buffalo, NY.
On the women's side, the Coyote women also earned their highest team effort in school history placing eighth with 117 points. Drury edged North Dakota for the women's team title, 613-603.5.
The Coyote men scored three second-place performances led by Zach Weiss, who was runner-up in the 50 freestyle in 20.36. Weiss also teamed with David Molesworth, Justin Devlin and Derek Dunlop for second in the 400 medley relay in 3:24.49. Devlin finished strong in the 200 breaststroke in placing second in 2:03.86.
Leading the USD women was Sarah Jansky, who finished fourth in the 200 freestyle in 1:54.44.
