WIC provides supplements The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) helps new mothers and pregnant women.
When women are pregnant or breastfeeding, they and their babies need certain nutrients. Through WIC, new mothers and pregnant women can receive some foods that are good sources of important nutrients. The WIC food package supplements the food they buy. The WIC staff can also help mothers and mothers-to-be plan to make healthy choices.
Women may call the local Community Health Services Office at 605-677-6767 to see if they are eligible to receive WIC Program benefits. WIC is an equal opportunity Program.
