Farmer's Market topic of April 18 meeting The Clay County Farmer's Market is about to take off into another exciting season. Any gardener, craft person, civic group or interested individuals are welcome to participate. This year we are aiming to expand this weekly event that enriches the entire community.
The market can serve as a means for church groups or charity organizations to earn money with bake sales, car washes, etc, besides helping small growers sell their fresh fruits and vegetables.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend an informational meeting at the Silver Dollar Restaurant in Vermillion on April 18, at 7 p.m. Please come with your own ideas about possible locations, means for advertisements or any input you might have.
Please spread the word. Let's make this a successful growing season. For more information contact Julie Strathman at 624-9504, Ilene Cromwell at 624-4766 or Grace Freeman at 624-5369.
