Seykora appointed director of Shrine to Music Fund Anita K. Seykora of Sioux Falls has been appointed director of the Annual Fund for America's Shrine to Music Museum at The University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
The museum's development office will be located in the historic Pettingill building at 123 South Main in downtown Sioux Falls.
Recently honored for her entrepreneurial skills and community leadership at the 26th annual YWCA Leader Luncheon at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, Seykora is a 1978 graduate of Washington High School, Sioux Falls College and New York University.
Seykora has been president of The Design Studio in Sioux Falls since 1986, and has been an active board member with the South Dakota Symphony, Civic Fine Arts Center and Jazz & Blues Society.
Founded in 1973 on the campus of The University of South Dakota, America's Shrine to Music Museum is one of the great institutions of its kind in the world. Its collections include many of the earliest, best preserved and historically most important musical instruments known to survive.
