Applications Available on Internet Sportsmen looking for the latest hunting applications should check the Game, Fish and Parks website, according to Game, Fish and Parks officials. Information Specialist John Forney said the 1999 special buck, paddlefish, resident elk/mountain goat, big game archery, and resident Custer Park applications are now available on the department's website. To get an application from the GFP website, sportsmen should look under www.state.sd.us/gfp/, the home page for South Dakota's Department of Game, Fish and Parks. After that, click on "hunting," then click on "request a hunting application" under the subheading of "license information." This places the individual at the application index page where they can access the desired application. Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is needed to download the application files, is available at the top of the application index page. Anyone can obtain it free of charge by clicking the "Get Adobe Reader" icon. The last step is to choose the application and print it out. "This is just one of many useful tools available to sportsmen on our website," Forney said. "Anyone with questions about seasons, license fees, or even regulations should spend some time surfing our site."
