Flower power Main Street business owners have been busy recently giving a splash of color to Vermillion's retail district. Main Street business owners have been busy recently giving a splash of color to Vermillion's retail district. Lisa Johnson, owner of the Vermillion Beauty Shop, placed petunias in a flower bed on the corner of Main and Elm streets Friday. The corner has been adopted by the beauty shop, by Herb's and by the office of Dr. D.C. Mehlhaf. Employees of those three businesses will care for the flowers throughout the summer. Johnson was assisted Friday by her 10-year-old daughter, Kaili, and, not pictured, her 7-year-old son Bennet and his friend, Josh Bartles.
