Lang receives AAL scholarship Zebulon Lang of Vermillion has been awarded an All-College Scholarship from Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL).
The scholarship is for $2,000 ($500 for each of four years).
Lang, a graduate of Vermillion High School is one of 1,700 graduating high school seniors to receive an AAL All-College Scholarship.
The 1999 All-College Scholarship recipients were chosen from nearly 6,000 applicants by ACT Recognition Program Services, a leader in scholarship support services. Selection was based on academic record, leadership qualities, church and community involvement and extracurricular activities.
AAL, based in Appleton, WI, is a fraternal benefit society of 1.7 million Lutherans and their families who are joined together for insurance, education and volunteer opportunities. Since 1939, AAL has awarded more than $54 million to more than 43,000 scholarship recipients. During 1999, AAL will award almost $5 million in scholarships to members.
