VHS golfers improve at Mitchell tourney By Jim Prosser The Tanager girls golfers finished 11th in a 14 team tournament Friday, April 30 at Mitchell. The 18 hole team score was 34 strokes lower than the previous 18 hole tournament score and raised Coach Hogen�s hopes that the girls have finally overcome some of the problems that have plagued them.
With the �Big Eight� and regional tourneys approaching rapidly, he anticipates better results in the future.
VHS scores at Mitchell: Allison Stewart � 100, Lynn Lewison � 107, Terri Upward � 107, Kelly Peterson � 107, Tabitha Hubert � 109.
The junior varsity played as an incomplete team. The JV scores were Brooke Nelson � 100 and Karrie Plate � 119.
