VHS graduates to receive diplomas May 30

VHS graduates to receive diplomas May 30 Vermillion High School's Class of 1999 will cross the stage for their diplomas May 30 in Slagle Auditorium at 2:30 p.m.

Opening remarks will be presented by Amy O'Connor, senior class vice president. Class comments will be given by Sihaya Reid, class secretary-treasurer, Jeannine Joy and Molly Meyers, both student council representatives, and Mike Vaillancourt, student council president. Megan Tolsma, class president, will present the closing remarks.

Curt Cameron, VHS assistant principal, will address the seniors.

Music for the graduation ceremony will be provided by organist Carmen Howard for the processional and recessional, and the VHS Concert Choir, directed by Jeanne Dahlin. They will perform Give Thanks and Four Strong Winds. The Senior Choir will also perform a special number for the senior class.

The class motto this year is a Chinese proverb, "Even a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."
