Basile receives award at Conference Eight regional authors received awards, Friday, May 28 at the 1999 Dakota Conference on history, literature, art and archeology. The cash awards were given for papers presented at the 1998 Dakota Conference. The papers were independently judged.
Second Place Professional ($100) was awarded to Joseph L. Basile of Vermillion for The Literary Struggle of Lewis and Clark.
