Cuppy will speak at state convention

Cuppy will speak at state convention Jacklynn (Jackie) Cuppy will be the international guest at the Delta Kappa Gamma Alpha Pi State Convention in Brookings at the Holiday Inn on June 11-12. Cuppy is currently serving as the Northwest regional director of Delta Kappa Gamma.

Cuppy received her BS degree in education from the University of Oklahoma and her MA degree in supervision of education from the University of California, Long Beach. Her post graduate studies have been at the University of Calgary; Gesell Institute, CA; Pepperdine University, CA; and UCLA California. She worked as a practicum advisor at the University of Calgary, served as an elementary/junior high principal for Calgary Public Schools, was an elementary teacher in Calgary and Fullerton, CA, was an instructor for Mount Royal College and University of Calgary, and was curriculum coordinator in Fullerton, CA. Cuppy has held many offices and committee chairmanships at the chapter, state and international levels of Delta Kappa Gamma. She has been married to Allen for 45 years and has a daughter Jalyn and two grandchildren.

The theme of the state convention is "Accepting the Challenge of Change." Delta Kappa Gamma is an international society of women educators who promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
