Ludeman honored for years of service Dr. Darrell Ludeman of Vermillion was recently recognized as an honored guest at the 116th annual meeting of the South Dakota Dental Association.
Dr. Ludeman was recognized for his years of service to the dental profession in South Dakota. He served as a U.S. Navy Dental Officer from 1955-57. He went into general practice at Tyndall from 1957-68. He then served as professor and department chair of the USD department of dental hygiene from 1967 to 1997. He is now retired professor emeritus of the department.
The South Dakota Dental Association is a 300-member organization of dentists and dental and oral specialists in South Dakota. The organization's mission is the improvement of the dental health of the public and the promotion of the art and science of dentistry in South Dakota.
