Post #1 is 10-5 winner over Beresford team By Jim Prosser The first game in session #2 of the Vermillion tournament was a cliffhanger for Beresford against Tea. Leading 9 to 5 after six innings, they gave up three runs and had two runners in scoring position as reliever Karl Miller saved the game with the third ground out of the inning to register his save.

Peter Boyle and Joe Bak each scored two runs. Bak was three for four with a home run and Jason Carlson went two for three, scored a run and was credited with two RBIs. Umpires for this game were Rich Kotrba and Devin Schwiesow.
Vermillion�s Tom Dorsey had a little up and down experience in the second game of session two of Post #1�s home tournament, striking out four, but walking five during his four innings on the mound.
A walk, wild pitch, and bad throw on a fielder�s choice cost him two unearned runs in the second inning, but he helped his cause by hitting a home run in the fourth!
Nick Mayer, three for three times on base performance, missed a �cycle� with a single, triple and home run. Eric Holoch drove in one and Jason Madsen had three RBIs.
Matt Knutson earned a save with three innings of relief striking out four and walking one. The victory brought the season record to 8-10.
