In the West game, Holoch gave up a first inning run and a total of three hits and three walks, striking out the last player of the game. He was supported handsomely by the offense where Tim Broderson scored three runs on three hits, Jason Madson was one for two and scored two runs as did James Ofstehage.
Losing pitcher for West was T.J. Bollis, surrendering seven hits, six bases on balls, hit a batter and suffered the results of two errors behind him.
The team faced Beatrice, NE in the second game giving up the winning run in the fifth inning on two singles and a passed ball.
Broderson surrendered seven hits, and one walk but had HBP (hit by pitch) on four batters while striking out four. Winning pitcher for Beatrice was Jeremiah Johnson, giving up four runs on four hits, striking out seven. Scoring one run each for Post #1, were: Nick Mayer, Broderson, Dustin Larson and Ofstehage.
