Tanagers place at state meet By Jim Prosser The Vermillion High School boys track team had two place finishers in the state track meet held recently in Lennox and Sioux Falls.
Eddie Filipovic placed second in the 100 meter dash, missing first place by .14 seconds.
The 4 x 100 meter relay team comprised of Derrick Brown, Tyler Vacek, Dan Tolsma, Filipovic was sixth.
In the girls division, Kathy Plate placed sixth in the 1200 meter run.
