USD to host 'Family Business on the Links' The South Dakota Family Business Initiative at The University of South Dakota will host "Family Business on the Links," a recreational and educational event for those interested in golf and/or family business issues, at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion Thursday, July 15.
A nine-hole scramble will be played at The Bluffs, which has been rated by Golf Magazine as one of the best courses in South Dakota. Following golf, participants may attend a dinner and guest presentation by Dave Austad of Austad's Golf in Sioux Falls. Austad will talk about the challenges and victories of his family's business.
The event is co-sponsored by McGladrey & Pullen, Merrill Lynch, Norwest Banks, the Small Business Development Center and the Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce.
Family Business Initiative members have two registration options. They may register for the golf and dinner presentation for $20 or they may attend just the dinner presentation at no cost.
Non-members can register for the golf and dinner presentation for $40 or they can register for the dinner presentation only for $20.
The South Dakota Family Business Initiative, an outreach program of the USD School of Business, sponsors events designed to build relationships that promote healthy families and success in business.
