Gertonson receives scholarship award Karoline Gertonson of Vermillion was recently awarded the Frank and Portia Van Leuven Scholarship at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSM&T).
The Frank and Portia Van Leuven Scholarship is unrestricted.
Gertonson is a 1999 graduate of Vermillion High School and is the daughter of Elizabeth Howe and Arnold Gertonson. She will be a freshman at Tech in the fall and plans to major in chemical engineering.
