Legion survives rally Vermillion Post #1 was leading Mitchell 8-3 in the first game of a June 28 doubleheader after six innings and 11-3 in the seventh when Mitchell mounted a rally that sent 11 batters to the plate, scoring six runs and making an easy win most uncomfortable.

Aaron Baedke had a three-run homer, batting three for four, scoring 3 and driving in five runs to lead the offense. Dustin Larson scored twice as did James Ofstehage.
Aaron Baedke had a two-run home run in the second game of the doubleheader but Post #1 lost to Mitchell 9-4.
