Lennox hands loss to Post #1 The only comment made by coach Devin Schwiesow was: "Whenever you walk 13 batters in a ball game, it's going to be a long night!"

There's more than that to the story. Lennox and Vermillion shared the following statistics in the third game of the double elimination tournament: 18 strikeouts, 19 bases on balls, 17 errors, 19 hits, and 25 runs in an intense but ragged nine inning marathon.

Losing pitcher: Merrigan.

The game was close through six innings (4-7) but in the last half of inning seven, Lennox scored five runs on a single sandwiched between two walks and three errors putting the score out of reach, even though Post#1 scored four runs in the final two innings.

Merrigan went three for five and scored three and Nick Mayer scored twice.

Tim Broderson, Aaron Baedke and Tom Dorcey each scored once. Eric Holoch had eight strikeouts in five innings of relief.

The record for the entire season, including the three games in the tournament, stands at 21-21.
