Post #1 enjoys victory by Jim Prosser During the week from June 22 through 28 Post #1 played nine baseball games winning four and losing five and were looking forward to a five-day lull in the schedule.
However, a make-up game with Beresford was rescheduled for June 30 so our pitching staff, which was somewhat "arm weary," had to come up with another sterling effort before using the Fourth of July weekend as a break.
Tim Broderson answered the call and came up with a three- hit gem.

Winning pitcher: Broderson
Losing pitcher: Ryan Travis.
Striking out nine and giving up one base on balls, Broderson was backed up by an errorless defense and brought the season record to 14-15. Aaron Baedke led the offense going two for four and scoring two runs and driving in four.
Eric Holoch also scored twice as did Nick Mayer and Jason Madsen. Jay Merrigan batted .500 and scored one run.
Following double-header games on July 2 (at Lennox 6:30 p.m.) and July 5 home (vs. Sioux Falls West at 1:30 p.m.) and July 7 (at Yankton 5:30 p.m.) Post #1 will travel to Rapid City for a three-day tournament July 9-11.
