Scoring rampage leaves Tea unable to recover In what was scheduled as a double header, became a long single game timewise when Vermillion's Post #1 went on a scoring rampage that left Tea Post #266 outmanned and unable to recover.

Matt Olson aided his pitching assignment by scoring two runs and driving in two. Matt Knutson was five for five hits and had three RBIs while scoring four.

Jason Madsen also scored four runs, going two for two hits along with two base on balls and a sacrifice fly, driving in three. Tim Broderson was on base five times, scoring three and driving in three.

James Ofstehage had a two-run homer in the first inning and Aaron Baedke was three for five with a home run in the final inning and two RBIs.

Nick Mayer, Jay Merrigan and Troy Rickord also contributed. Merrigan scored three runs, Mayer scored twice, as did Rickord and Todd Anderson in a relief roll.

Tea 5 5 11 Olson struck out the side in the second inning and was relieved by Anderson after three innings and he struck out the side in the final inning giving the pitching staff eight KOs in the game.

The final regular season record going into the regional tourney was 16-18.
