Students honored by USD Med School Six sophomore students have been recognized by The University of South Dakota School of Medicine for their scholastic achievement in pathology.
The USD students were granted honors and scholarships from the department of clinical medicine.
Patrick Hemmer of Sioux Falls and Amy Ortman of Vermillion both received high honors from the USD School of Medicine. They both were awarded the $350 Karl H. Wegner Award for Excellence in Pathology Scholarship in recognition of their achievement in pathology.
For their achievements in medicine, Christopher Oliver, Rapid City, Teresa LaMasters, Sioux Falls, Julia Heaton, Vermillion and Mary Hochstein, Yankton, all received the $200 LCM Award for Honors in Pathology Scholarship.
