Body of man found in river by M. Jill Sundstrom The body of a missing Centerville man was found in the Missouri River near Vermillion Aug. 4 after a rural Vermillion resident located an abandoned vehicle on his property and called authorities to investigate.
Robert Neuroth, 72, had been missing since July 27. Once it was determined that the car belonged to him, Clay County Sheriff�s deputies, assisted by the Vermillion Fire and Rescue Department, searched for and located Neuroth�s body in the Missouri River about 200 yards from his car.
An autopsy has been requested by the Clay County coroner to determine the exact cause of death.
