Breske elected at TAR camp Amanda Breske, Vermillion, was elected district representative for South Dakota's Teen Age Republicans at the 39th annual TAR leadership camp and convention, held Aug. 2 through 7. This district comprises Sioux Falls, Yankton and Vermillion. Sixty campers from throughout South Dakota attended the meeting at Camp Bob Marshall near Custer in the Black Hills.
Activities at the week-long camp included speeches from Lt. Gov. Carol Hillard, State Auditor Vernon L. Larson, Former Senator James Abdnor, Former Secretary of State Alice Kundert and other statewide Republican leaders.
Political learning experiences include seminars on fund-raising, campaigning door-to-door, Republican philosophy and two-day actual convention with nominations, debates and elections of the TAR statewide officers and district representatives.
Recreational activities included a trip to Wind Cave, Rushmore Waterslide Park, the Rushmore lighting ceremony and a Black Hills Playhouse production of Shake-
speare's The Merry Wives of Windsor.
Amanda Breske is the daughter of Anne K. Marshall and granddaughter of Jean and Bud Marshall, all of Vermillion.
