First Love will perform Aug. 14 at Vermillion church First Love, a woman's quartet representing Crown College, will be in concert at the Hillside Community Church, 1800 Constance Dr., Vermillion on Aug. 14 at 7 p.m.
Singing together since 1997, these four women count it a privilege to combine their talents into an upbeat and uplifting concert ministry. Their enthusiasm for Jesus Christ combined with the tight harmonies of their contemporary and inspirational sound, personal testimonies and down to earth personalities make First Love enjoyable for all ages.
Each woman in the quartet has the same purpose�to serve Christ through their musical gifts. While they enjoy singing together, the real motivation of First Love is to share Christ's love with others. Group members include first soprano, Christine Patrick, from Greybull, WY; first alto, Amy Smith, from Richey, MT; second soprano, Lori Bauer, from Windom, MN and second alto, Staci Yoder, from Staples, MN.
Members of the group are students and graduates of Crown College, in St. Bonifacius, MN, a college of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. Founded in 1916, the college exists to provide a Christ-centered education offering over 30 undergraduate majors and three graduate level degrees.
First Love travels extensively throughout the year. Their travels have taken them to all points of the United States. Recently, the group had the privilege of ministering on a 10-day tour throughout Japan. Their 1999 summer tour includes stops in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.
