USD football team set for practice to begin Aug. 16 South Dakota head football coach John Austin and his staff will welcome 114 players to fall camp in preparation for the 1999 season.
The Coyotes will practice twice daily beginning with the first practice on Monday, Aug. 16. The morning practices will be held in the DakotaDome starting at 9 a.m. and the afternoon sessions will take place outside east of the DakotaDome beginning at 3:15 p.m.
South Dakota opens the season Sept. 4 in Missoula, MT against the University of Montana with a 2:05 p.m. kickoff (central time). USD's home opener is Sept. 18 against North Dakota.
Prior to the first practice on Monday, "Media Day" for the Coyote football team will be held on Sunday, Aug. 15.
Fans are invited to come out and meet the Coyote players starting at 1:30 p.m. in the DakotaDome on Sunday. The first 50 kids in attendance will receive a Coyote T-shirt and the next 50 kids will receive a USD football schedule poster.
