Vermillion team captures state slowpitch title

Vermillion team captures state slowpitch title Midwest Homes/Player's Tavern of Vermillion won the men's State "B" slowpitch softball title this past weekend held in Pierre. This is the first ever State "B" title won by a Vermillion team. They went 6-0 and 10 runned four of their six opponents including Galland Legal Clinic from Sioux Falls in the Championship game by a score of 25-15. Members of the team include Rusty Jensen, Dave Addy, Steve Mayer, Scott Hohenthaner, Troy Terronez, Eric Schoh, Tim Zobel, Kelly Heller, Greg Sammelson, Jason Boever, Mark Jones, Gabe Pieper, Joe Hollinger and Jeff Johnson. The team now advances to the Nationals held in Lawton, OK on Sept. 24-26.
