Around the Town by Bonnie Sorensen The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who made the First annual Spirit of Lewis & Clark Festival a great success on Aug. 25 at the W.H. Over Museum. The Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring this event each year leading up to the bicentennial in 2004. If you have an interest in Lewis & Clark and want to be involved in the planning or participate in the festival, please call us at 624-5571. This is a community festival and your involvement is valuable.
Speaking of community events, plans for "Celebrate Vermillion" are currently underway for New Year's Eve '99. This special New Year's Eve party will be held at the Coyote Student Center and the DakotaDome.
"Celebrate Vermillion" is the gathering of friends, family and neighbors. "Celebrate Vermillion" is alcohol-free with planned activities for all ages. So plan to "Celebrate Vermillion" on New Year's Eve in your hometown to ring in the year 2000! Have a great week.
