Aug. 25 at 1 p.m., the Wednesday card party had 19 pitch, eight pinochle, four Skip-Bo and 20 bridge players.

Bridge prizes were given to Shirley Riehle, high; Lois Erickson, second; Ernie Miller, third; Adeline Isaacson blind bogey and Jim Prosser low.

Refreshments were furnished by Blanche Gregoire, Florence Wagner, Luceal Liffengren and Stella Anker.

Sons of Norway

Lillehammer Lodge I-633 celebrated its fifth anniversary during a formal dinner at the Best Western Inn at Yankton on Aug. 17.

Sixty-seven people attended. Honored guests were Kenneth Mjoen, president, and Marvin Hanson, vice president of Son District Lodge No. l and Robert Tabbert, Sub District #6 director. Glitne Sioux Viking Lodge of Sioux City, IA was represented by eight lodge members. Other guests included relatives and friends of the Lillehammer Lodge.

Norwegian heritage decorations adorned the tables and beautiful decorated cakes, ice cream and kranse kake were served as special Norwegian desserts.

Vocal and instrumental music was provided by life-long members and Elizabeth Foss and Norwegian folk dancing was performed by the Lillehammer Nordi Dancers.

Numerous door prizes donated by the lodge members were given.

Next lodge meeting will be held at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Yankton on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.
